Kram

Kram
This is a bit unusual. A very Swedish type of street art. A roundabout dog. Usually you will find them, at, you guessed it, a roundabout. This one stands on a hill overlooking Lake Ådran, and there's no roundabout in this area at all. Oh, and kram is the Swedish word for hug. I found it while out riding my new eBike, taking a shortcut between two roads with very heavy traffic.

Roundabout Dinosaur

Roundabout Dinosaur
This was a first. A Roundabout Dinosaur at Länna. Eating a flower. And behind it a "traditional" Roundabout dog, claiming to love Länna. Snapped two days ago, just before my second flat tire of the day. A lucky shot because they were both gone yesterday.

Woof!

Woof!
I noticed this new roundabout dog along Stavsvägen in Tungelsta a while back, and cycling home a couple of days ago I decided that it was time to snap a photo of it before it disappeared.

Roundabout Art

Voff! Tungelsta got it's first ever roundabout last year when the new bridge crossing the rail road opened for traffic. It took until this week for the first roundabout dog to appear. About time!

Voff!

Voff!

I found another Roundabout Dog yesterday. Which was a bit of a surprise as the dog wasn't standing in a roundabout. So the question is, is it still a Roundabout Dog? No idea what I am going on about? Try one of the links after looking at the slideshow. Oh, and the cow in the set was made by a man who told me that he was inspired by the Roundabout Dog movement.

Woof!

Woof!

I noticed two new Roundabout dogs in Handen the other day. So I stopped, jumped off the bike, and managed to run over the road and onto the grassy roundabout without being hit by a car. These dogs looked really Swedish with the flag and all. And the artist had written their url on the dogs. www.rondellhund.com/

The Roundabout Dog

Non Barking Dog

Looks like Storm, the roundabout dog in Västerhaninge is getting ready for Christmas. I guess this particular art phenomena has died down a bit since the peek a couple of years ago.

Non-barking dog

The Roundabout Dog phenomenon has died down a bit lately. This one is new to me, found it at a roundabout in Handen the other day.

Peeing Roundabout Dog

Peeing Roundabout Dog

Very classy, one of the best Roundabout Dogs I have seen. Bigger photo. It can be admired at the roundabout at Nynäsvägen/Vallavägen in Handen.

Ruff!

Ruff!

I'm guessing you don't have any Roundabout Dogs where you live! Bigger photo. It all started in the city of Linköping last year when an installation by the artist Stina Opitz was vandalized. A few days later a new dog appeared in the roundabout. That was all it took to get this new phenomenon going! Since then they have started popping up all over the country. This one can be seen in Handen. My fourth Rondellhund.

Storm the Roundabout Dog

Cool Roundabout Dog

I spotted another roundabout dog today. This one has been named Storm. Probably because it was created after the storm in January. Background info: It all started in the city of Linköping last year when an installation by the artist Stina Opitz was vandalised. A few days later a new dog appeared in the roundabout. That was all it took to get this new street art phenomenon going! Here's a photo of a couple of Roundabout dogs I took a while back.

A few days later a new dog appeared in the roundabout. That was all it took to get this new phenomenon going! Since then they have started popping up all over the country. These are the first two Roundabout Dogs in Haninge. First seen in November 2006. They soon disappeared but last week they were back again. Same dogs without the snow.
