The Cucumber Spider

Cucumber spider

Theme Day. The color green. On the bike I suddenly noticed something green on one of my fingers. It was a cucumber spider. It turned out to be a very lazy spider because it stayed with me for a few kilometres!

Magnifique macro, elle est digne de jouer dans un film d'horreur

The structure and colour of the spider is wonderful, as is your macro ... but ... look at that wonderful skin texture. Be still my heart!!

Steffe, I never wanted to get that close a look at your skin!

I see why they call this little booger a cucumber spider.

Great macro shot! I'm not a fan of spiders but, I must say this is a colorful little fellow.

Very unusual little fella. Glad it stayed with you as a companion for awhile.

What a SPLENDID shot for today's theme. Possibly wins the prize for originality !

Congratulations Steffe!

Or Summer green today.

Ha ha, a very inexpensive horror movie Olivier!

It's a bit one the tiny side, between 4 and 8 mm long.

Luckily all spiders in this country are harmless, unless you have a phobia of course.

Thanks Julie.

Shot with my Canon Powershot. It's a good little camera. I bought it last year when one of the lenses I use on the Digital Rebel died. I have a flickr set with photos I have shot with it. Called Power Shots.

perfect name for this spider, a choice for the theme day that has 'legs'.

wow, what detail?
Would this qualify as a portrait?

Stefan Jansson said...

Sure does Abe.

I guess any photo of any living thing could be said to be a portrait, but in my world only people counts.
