Smoke gets in their eyes
Performing Medieval music next to a hard working Blacksmith can cause problems. At least for photographers. And possibly for the musicians as well. The girls in Krabat nearly disappeared behind the smoke during their gig at the Viking/Medieval festival in Handen. I was lucky to get a few shots when the smoke had cleared out, and after their performance I asked the girls for a portrait. The three members of Krabat are Rebecca Lundblom. She sings and plays the mandola. Greta Nilén, who sings and plays the drums. And Klara Dahlberg. She plays the nyckelharpa and the English flute. They started the band earlier this year and has been touring the country this summer playing at different festivals. If you are interested there are some videos at their Facebook site.

des fées qui sortent d'un conte, beaux portraits de ces musiciennes
They should have been playing, "When Smoke Gets In Your Eyes."
Ah the hardships of troubador life!
Ha ha...cute!
Amo este tipo de música muy buenas tomas
Lovely ladies.
I like the authentic Viking amplifiers. But seriously, I love scenes like this. I hope the music was good. By the way, I'm up here in Oregon where it's fairly cool. The real heat is in California.
They are so cute!
What a shame we can't hear them play.
A bit of a fairy tale it is Olivier.
It's a classic I agree B Squared but they only play Medieval classics!
It's never easy is it Halcyon!
All you have to do to hear them play is to read the post and follow the link Bill :-)
Thanks Luz.
Always admire your ability to capture a portrait. I lack the courage to even attempt it.
As always... well done.

Maybe, this was the mediaeval forerunner of rockstars' dry ice.
Ha ha. I guess that's possible.
