The Future's So Bright...

The Future's So Bright...

Heading home recently, closing in on the ancient grave field (800 graves from 500 B.C) at Jordbro, I met Josefine. She was with a friend (who choose not to have her photo taken). Josefine lives in Jordbro, but is originally from Arboga. She works with sales at a store. She told me that she is very artistic. She took an art class in school, and also a photography course, and does a lot of painting and photography on her free time. After this brief encounter I snapped a couple of photos and then headed for home. Oh, and if you would like to know who you might meet at the grave field I mentioned. The answer is among others the lovely sisters Linda & Evelina.

Nice portraits, all of them! I'm always shy about taking people pictures! Although they always say yes...

This is a stunning portrait. You are really becoming something of a celebrity with your people photos. I think they are the best I have seen on the Internet. I hope you know that.

Such wonderful places, so different from where I have lived. The Hamlet of Gordon, Ohio is where I was born and raised and it is how small hamlets used to be and this one still exists.

That is one seriously cool creature. I love how you can see your reflection in her glasses. Wonderful shot.

Josefine dresses like a true artist: I love the combination of hair colour, sunnies and black duffel coat.

Yet another revealing protrait, Steffe.

Are these all going up on the 100 Strangers site on Flickr?

I have another photo where you can see more of her friend but as she didn't want to be seen I picked this one.
I finished the 100 Strangers project back in November (you can only add 100 photos to the group pool). But as it was so much fun meeting all these people I decided to continue!

Yes, I realised that as soon as I took the link to the chap wearing the kilt. You have an astounding array of images in your 100 and I note that you are up to 58 in your No Longer Strangers. I did not put my strangers up on Flickr prefering to work on a group site. It has been an engrossing project and I too have decided to continue even having reached the target.

I am intruiged by your Photo a Week concept with the tree and an thinking about the sort of site within easy reach that I would focus on likewise.

Thank you for all your portraits and ideas. You are an endless source of inspiration for this novice photographer.

Glad that you can find inspiration from some of my photos. I often do just that via many of my flickr contacts. The A Photo A Week idea is a good one. Try finding a few places at first, and as you say not too far away from home!
