Ned and the Sheep
Meet Ned. He is a Border Collie. And a herding dog. I met him and his owner Karin, at the Nedersta barn yesterday, where they were busy sheep herding. He got many commands during my visit. And got most of them right. Here he is in the snow, keeping an eye on the sheep.
And here are some of the sheep. As I said the sheep belong to Karin who I have met before, she was one of my 100 Strangers.

These are excellent photographs. I love the picture of the dog. Nice post.
I still have the old blogs but I also have new ones Abe Lincoln Blogs and also look at Abraham Lincoln's Blog
Excellent pair of pictures, as are many other ones on this blog.
Thanks Abe. Glad you like some of my photos Marc!
Great set of pictures, terrific.
Great photos. He doesn't seem to mind the cold.
These photos are wonderful, Steffe!! Especially of the border collie in action. These are very intelligent dogs and very quick in their actions. I know one that bangs his plate on the floor when he is hungry and brings the leach to his owner when he wants to go out. When he wants to play he brings all his toys. They are very demanding and need a lot of open space.
Karin told me that Ned gets more out of sheep herding for half an hour then he does talking a two hour walk. He gets to use his brain when he's working the sheep around and he loves every minute of it.
