King's Pawn

The Chess Board
If you know how to, you can play a game of chess at Poseidon's Square in Handen. You will find the chessmen in two locked wooden boxes next to the benches. To play a game you will have to get the key to the boxes from the cultural centre.

This looks good. The black and white works.

So, did you fetch the key and play?

No I didn't. I don't play chess and I was the only there. I have been waiting with this photo for a week or so, hoping to see someone use the chessboard. But as I took the photo one of my strangers came by. That's what I call the people I stop on the street and ask for a photo.

That's interesting. Where would you sit to ponder your next move?

I like the black and white on this shot. We saw one of these big chess boards in Galveston Texas.

I hope they are not heavy...

Cool idea. Never saw one of those before. I would like to see someone playing.

Powerful image, beautifully composed. Black and white was a good choice.
