The Biggest American car show in the world is how the Big Meet in Västerås is described. This year around 17 000 cars from all over the world will be there. Including this 1960 Cadillac De Ville. The guys posing with the beer are three members of the Wermdö Rough Stuff club, which means that they are raggare. I noticed the car at the mall in Handen on Friday and walked over for a few photos. Not sure if this car will win the 2011 Jay Leno Car Award, but you never know. The guys were quite happy with the attention so they gave me two beers. Västerås is only one hours drive from Haninge, so as I'm typing this they have arrived and are probably partying as best they can!

The big caddies of the late 1950's and early 1960's were the high point of the design trend of tall tail fins design element. One year I think they even moved twin taillights up onto the tail fins.
That is a true classic car! And, you got two beers just for taking photos. Such a deal!
We used to see a lot of these back in the day.
Nice looking paint job on that car Steffe, those old cars were so big, bet they guzzle petrol.

This caddie is rather foreshortened, isn't it? We had one of those Coup de ville types. Brocade inside and a bench seat. Wonderful. I learned to drive in it. It all looked as if it was going to take off and fly. Did you get to see a RSVP model? A Buick with Really Sensational Variable Pitch blades?
It is for sure the Biggest American car show. Lot of my friends drive there every year from the Czech Republic :)
