Next Stop Hollywood
As I passed the commuter station in Västerhaninge a few days ago I noticed a pretty young woman sitting on a bench, waiting for a bus, so I turned around to ask if I could shoot a portrait. She said yes, so I sat down next to her and we talked for a few minutes. This is Emma. She recently moved to Dalarö, the seaside resort in Haninge. After leaving school she has been working for the last four years. But will now focus on her studies again. She is a woman with a dream. She is into photography, and has her eyes set out to make it in Hollywood, where she wants to become a famous photographer. Good luck chasing that dream Emma! (I had some camera problem here, hence the somewhat unfocused portrait).

Nice as usual. What a talent you have for getting acquainted with strangers.
I'll probably have camera, battery and memory card problems trying to take some shots of Emma...
I think Abe is right about your gift with strangers and your absolute prowess in portraiture.
Glad she is following her dream! Excellent portrait!
I am just catching up with your excellent series because I have been away in Morocco for a couple of weeks. I agree with the comments above about your ability to secure the consent of strangers not just to pose for a photo. but to open up and provide information about themselves and, in the case of today's photo, their life goals. Maybe young people today are less private because of things such as Facebook.
What a fantastic, dreamy, confident smile.
Where would we be without a dream!
Another pretty girl Steffe.
The shape of the photo is spot on. Her tilt of the head to the left emphasised by the space left on the right. I also like that strong single colour behind her. I just might steal your idea for a future portrait - finding the background will be the difficult bit I imagine. Thanks Steffe.
