A bike ride to Ulriksdals Palace in Solna. Lots of history here. Built around 1640 for Jakob De la Gardie at the Edsviken bay. The architect was Hans Jacob Kristler. Redesigned by Nicodemus Tessin the Elder and by Carl Hårleman. Today used by The Royal Family, but owned by the state. Queen Kristina was a frequent guest back in the day. Many other kings and queens have also lived here. Open to the public every Summer. There's a visitor's center, a café, a museum and more. More photos in my Flickr album. Oh, and there is a very popular Autumn market here in late October every year, I might go back for that.

The third photo looks as if the building was built as a suncatcher! All those tall windows.
Might be nice in Sweden. Lovely.
That is the orangery, there is also a museum in there.
