Hotel at Arenastaden

Quality Hotel Strawberry Arena The bubbly hotel B&W Black Holes
The 25-storey hotel next to the National football stadium, known today as the Strawberry Arena, at Arenastaden in Solna. It has 650 hotel rooms. I am yet to count all the windows, but they are all circular, like a football, of course. Thanks to the architect Gert Wingårdh. I have a lot of photos to show you from this part of Solna.

I think I like the reflection the best. The hotel looks like a big box made a little more interesting by a graphic joke in 2 dimensions.

The reflection and the patterns are outstanding

That hotel sounds like a fascinating piece of architecture, especially with those unique circular windows! I'm looking forward to seeing your photos from Solna—sounds like there’s a lot to explore and admire.

Just posted a new blog update! I'd love for you to check it out and share your thoughts. Your feedback means a lot! https://www.melodyjacob.com

Wow. That is certainly eye-catching.

It is hard for me to imagine the owners of this hotel greenlighting its construction. Sure, interesting to photograph, but there are so many other designs that would be better, in my humble opinion.

It sits next to a big arena. All the big artists play there. Huge mall here as well. Walking distance to the train station. Just a few stops from central Stockholm. Lots of conferences here year round. Big on the environment issues. You can take the commuter directly from Arlanda.
