A first bunch of photos from Hagaparken. A park in Solna, just meters from Stockholm and Lake Brunnsviken. These are the three copper tents. Koppartälten. Designed by Louis Jean Desprez in the 1780s. Supposed to look like something from ancient Rome. The idea of the park came from the king, Gustav III. He wanted an English garden. The tents were meant to be barracks for the Royal Guards. The middle tent was destroyed in a fire in the 1950s. It was rebuilt in the mid 1960s. Another renovation took place in the 1980s when a new part was added. Today there's a museum here as well as apartments and a café. There is no entrance fee to the museum. There is also a café at one tent. More photos from the popular park to come.

That looks wonderful.I thought that it was temporary when I saw the 1st shot.
I was back there today, many more people in the park today. A great mix of locals, immigrant groups, and tourists.
