Remington Typewriter

This Remington typewriter belonged to the famous author Moa Martinson (1890-1964). She lived at Johannesdal in Ösmo and started writing at the age of twelve. Her first published novel was Women and Appletrees. Today you can see the typewriter and other personal items at the Café Grindsjön which is run by the authors great granddaughter Annika. And remember to get something to eat and drink while you are there!

My late mum was a typist and had a typewriter exactly like this one. My parents bought be a little portable one for my 21st birthday. But of course it is unused now that I have a computer.
