That Old Tree

That Old Tree

I heard on the news last night that we can expect some snow in the next 24 hours or so. This was the scene over at the old tree earlier today. Someone from the Mulsta horse farm have been here with a saw. But they have only cut off a part of the broken tree branch. I tried lifting it myself, but it is stuck and also very heavy.

The broken limb makes it look like the tree is reaching for the ground to brace itself.

That old tree looks a lot like it did the last time. You got about as much snow as we did.

I have this knack of hopping to your blog on days that the old tree shows up. Lovely.

Actually Steffe, when someone does take away the broken branch, the tree is not going to have changed shape that much! It'll still be the beautiful star of your seasonal shots!!

Loving 'That Old Tree!'

I agree with Grace from Perth. When the damaged limb goes, it won't be too bad. Just part of the aging process that all organisms go through.

Poor tree! That was a major branch!

The old tree looks the same whether covering with snow or barren as now.

Those big ol' limbs do get very heavy!

Better get the chainsaw out. (for remedial pruning)

Sorry to see it's branch broken. We've had a huge windstorm here and saw many broken branches torn from trees.
