The old School
This is Åbygården in Västerhaninge. Today a youth centre. Built as a school back in 1922. The school closed in 1984. It's situated next to the Kaplansgården which was the previous school. Built in 1860. Three years ago I posted a photo of that building, where my grandfather was a student many years ago.

It's particularly beautiful in the snow.
c'est magnifique sous la neige, j'aime le contrasme avec l'arbre et la maison
The days of short skirts and knee-high knockers are over, there too, I guess, until spring time and summer comes back around. It looks very cold in this picture. It has been very cold here where we live also. I was glad to hear that you also feed the birds and wildlife during these trying times. We also have a heated water bowl so they can get a drink of water on the coldest days of the year.
I love the color of this building. Such a wonderful shade of red!
Oh, "gamlaskolan" - I thought I recognized it!
Love the red...beautiful building...and a great winter shot, Steffe!
Oh cold - is the building used at all now? I see a little bird unter the bush in front.

Beautiful and cold.
-20° is beyond my comprehension, although I did see 0° one day in your Autumn last year.
The colours of your buildings make so much beautiful sense when it snows.

I love the red color, the architecture of the building, the snow and trees ..... Very pretty, and it must be cold now??
Your red buildings in the freshly fallen snow always look spectacular. Is that a ladder on the roof (also in the former photo)? Why?
You have probably seen the other old school Leif, the one in Tungelsta. They are quite similar in design. There's actually some editing on this photo as I had to remove a few flying birds! The ladder is there so that you will be able to climb up and fix whatever it is that might be needed to fix on the roof!
Awww a red school! How pretty it looks amongst the snow!
It's good the building is still being used.
