The Leftie

The Leftist

This is Johannes. I spotted his Che Guevara bag and figured I should ask him for a photo. He lives with his girlfriend here in Haninge, but is originally from Torsås in Småland. As you can probably guess Johannes is a leftist. He used to be a member of the KPML(r), the Swedish communist party, but has now left ( no pun intended), that organisation. He works full time at a metal workshop north of Stockholm. And is also a student at the department of literature at the Stockholm University, so he really is a busy man. So much so that he is thinking about giving up his studies.
A minute or so before I met Johannes I had a quick chat with Linda & Evelina. And minutes after talking to the leftie I met both the Architect and the Philosopher.

Left, right, confused? He looks confused.

Methinks carrying about a Che-decorated bag ain't too smart ...

But it's a nice portrait!

Che? He is just a little out of touch.

Well, it does take all kinds to make the world go 'round. Another fine portrait Steffe.

Nice character study; I also followed the links and looked at your 100 Strangers. Very interesting!

Whats up with the pants pockets? They look backwards. I have never seen them like that before.

I knew this had to be YOUR photo, before I saw your name.

you were born to be a photojournalist and reporter. do you have a notepad to remember all of these details so you can post them? maybe you should write books as you seem to capture characters well

That's a good observation Jim!

The tree in the background is a birch. I have a few different book ideas.

I always have a camera with me, plus a notepad and a few of my MOO Minacard, because you never know who you might meet.

Som tur är äger jag ingen bil Nathalie. Alla dagar när man kan ta ett par fina bilder är bra dagar och jag fotar varje dag!

Somebody here asked about my pockets. They are not inside-out, they're extra "outside"-pockets for tools and shit. I only use them for rulers and pens though, I'm just a bending-machine operator, not a carpenter (as these pants would suggest).

It is a strange picture. My g/f didn't recognize me actually. This: http://warlok.wordpress.com/2008/08/25/maybe-saturn-maybe-jupiter-in-the-early-night-sky/ might be a bit more accurate. Though with shorter hair.

And about me being "out of touch" for the Che-bag; no. I'll stand up for the liberation of Cuba from mafia-capitalist oppression any day. Just like the cubans do.

(Jag skriver på engelska eftersom det verkar vara gängse ordning här, haha)

Tjena Johannes. Kul att du tittar in.
