At the library

The Authors

Be quiet in the library...

Remember that murder story I told you about a few months ago? If not here is a link to that story. On the top photo you can see Anita and Bo Stjernström. Two of the members of the historical association here in Haninge. And also the authors to the book about that murder at Näringsberg all those years ago. I met them at the library in Västerhaninge today. The library celebrated forty years, and Anita and Bo gave a talk about Västerhaninge, while showing some photos. There is an ongoing photo exhibition at the library, and as I had a look around I found a photo of my great grandfather, Johan Fredrik Jansson! He was a gardener and politician. The photo was dated 1920, and I hadn't seen it before, so that was fun. Downstairs at the library a band called Kulturhusbandet was playing some music. There was also some activities for the kids and for those who arrived in time there was cake!

Looks like a fun day at the library! Were there in time for some Gevalia and cake?!

I'll bet you're glad you went, if for nothing other than finding that photo. I have a few photos of family that are very old and I know I treasure them. Sounds like you had a good time.

Funny! My grandfather was a gardener and a politician as well, pretty much around the same time. Only got him in trouble with the germans.
Glad you had a good time!

What a great celebration. Wish you'd taken a photo of your grandfather's photo so we could see the politician and gardener, too.

Looks like it was a nice day at the library. You never know what you'll find at the library, that's why it's such a great place. Music, photography, and cake, who could ask for anything more.

Strange discoveries for a library. I'm glad you found a photo of your great grandfather and hope the music was good. Did you arrive in time for the cake or it was reserved for the kids?

I was a little late, so no cake for me!
