Fat Tuesday
It's Fat Tuesday. In Sweden that means that you have to eat a Semla. It's pretty much mandatory. I stopped by my favorite cafe Malmens Konditori in Handen and ordered a couple of semla's. Henrik, who owns the cafe has won a few awards for his semla's, so it's good to know that they are of the highest quality. and very tasty!

Yummy!
This is not the first time you've posted Semla. I shared the story with my Swedish friend and this morning he treated me with the most delicious Semla which he made himself. I can't wait to eat another one tomorrow in a bowl of warm milk with sugar and cinammon. You can imagine my delight when I opened your blog today.
Haha. Good shot for Fat Tuesday although I have never had a semla.
Made me smile!:)
And yes, it looks Yummy!
Enjoy!
Well, I'm sorry to hear that you were forced to eat a couple of these semlas. I mean, really, you should have a choice in the matter. From what I know of you, I'm sure you debated whether you should flaunt the rules or just give in and eat the darn things.
You could probably twist my arm just enough to get me to try one.
Lol!
I only ate one of them. I gave the other one to my mother.
That is funny. You must have done some mouth exercises first, to fit the huge semla into your mouth.
I practise by eating a lot of semla's.
Great self portrait.
You look pretty pleased with yourself! ;))
Oh my, I shouldn't have followed the link—it sounds absolutely yummy.
Now why haven't we got a 'fat Tuesdays' here.. then I could eat that pastry without feeling guilty haha! Well done Steffe!
