A poetic winter scene?
What do you do when you spot a tennis ball on a snowy field? First you look around to make sure that no one can see you. Then you switch to the nifty fifty lens, and before you know it you are on all fours aiming the camera at the ball trying to get that very cool winter photo.

You are sure the ball was not for an other all fours to bring it back. Still a nice composition with minimal means.
Nice - the colours work really well.
You got a nice picture and cold knees I don't doubt.
rudyard kipling used to play snow golf with brightly colored balls when he lived in brattleboro.
I'll take snow over mud any day! Great shot.
Cool indeed! Good eye.
Surreal! Love the crystals on top of the snow too.
You need a dog
I have heard about winter golf being played up North in Sweden. But have never seen it here.
And a dog needs it's ball Mo. There was a couple further up the field, but I don't think they had a dog with them.
Excellent!
I hope you well insulated. Nice shot.
Love it. Lemon on a plate of sugar.
Well, Steffe, all of that effort worked for you. Nice photo.
Haha! Would have loved to see that Steffe. Lovely shot, muted background...excellent!
It's the incongruity that jumps out at me... brightly coloured ball associated with a summer sport sitting in a field of white snow.
But yeah, I'm guessing somewhere Fido is missing his ball...
