Winter in Sweden

Winter in Sweden
If I remember correctly this old house in Handen was bought earlier this year by a real estate and property developer, and it is likely to be demolished soon. It is surrounded by larger apartment buildings and I think the seller laughed all the way to the bank because he, she, they got something like 20 Million SEK for it. Behind the house is a small hill, on top of which stands a mysterious modern runestone.

But it looks like just coming from a fairytale. Great shot.

Picture postcard perfect. The runestone is strange indeed...

Charming image, and sad to loose the house, although I can't blame the prior owner for selling out.

Your Christmas scene is indeed different than ours. My son is getting married today in an outdoor wedding in Phoenix.

Lovely image Stefan, my idea of your part of the world in winter. Yes its a lot of money, though I had no idea of the SEK so had to look it up.

For someone who lives in a place where it doesn't snow, this is absolutely amazing. What a shot! Happy Christmas.

What a great winter scene. It is too bad that it will be torn down.

Have a very merry Christmas.

From our perspective it might be Christmas is Quebec, unimaginable to us down here in the central US.

I remember the runestone post. Sort of a Swedish Toynbee Tile.
