In the Birch Forest

In the Birch Forest
Thanks to the law Allemansrätten I can walk on anyone's property in Sweden. So earlier this week I took a promenade through this birch forest, situated between Mulsta and Välsta in Tungelsta. I spotted woodpeckers and owls, but as I didn't have the zoom lens with me I can only show you the now very green forest.

An interesting law and a beautiful image, even without zoom! We''ll see woodpeckers and owls the next time...

A nice place to walk. That is an interesting law. I didn't know about that.

I am curious about the law to which you referred. In Costa Rica anyone can walk on any beach, but it is because all of the beaches are public property.

The same is not true for private property, but 25% of the country is national parks and wildlife refuges, so there is no lack of places to walk.

Yes, I too will research this law. The UK has very active groups ensuring that existing rights to walk certin lands are maintained, but it is not a universal right. I'll be fascinated to learn more.

You have us all intrigued by this law Steffe! I like very much your 'birch forest' and can imagine how nice it would have been to her the birds.

We are all intrigued by this law! Does this apply to someone's back garden? Or just forests etc.

The birch forest is appeling. We need to mix up wide angle shots and close-ups. Too much of either gets boring.

Puts me in mind of a poem, "Birches" by Robert Frost that I learnt at school. Beautiful shot...again Steffe!

im curious about the law too. thats quite a bit nicer than here in the us. especially when thinking that people can shoot on sight in some states, if you are on their property.... (what if you werent aware of it being someone's property!!)
