That Old Tree

That Old Tree

It looks nice on this photo, the old tree. In reality I was caught in a hailstorm yesterday only ten minutes after shooting this photo, my 242th shot of the Swedish Whitebeam. Spring is on hold for the time being. The summer temperature of late have now been replaced with dark skies, short snow falls and as I'm typing this it's no more than 3C in Haninge.

la serie continue, les branches tordues de l'arbre ressortent bien avec ce ciel

I am going to forget that I read about snow in Haninge and instead I will look at this picture and think that it is lush and spring.

No problem there Jack, the good thing with snow this time of the year is that it disappears as quickly as it falls and there's no sign left of the snow now.

I agree Olivier the tree branches really looks good against this sky.

The mighty hornbeam waits to put out her leaves. Can't wait to see that. Then your spring will surely have arrived.

I think we're done with the snow here in Toronto. But the skies are still gray. :(

I like "that old tree" in any season though. It just is so "tree-y". :)

Maybe two more weeks, and we'll see leaves!

Oh, hello tree! I've missed you.

That old tree is beautiful in any season. The summer will return soon enough, in the meantime don't put away your winter clothes.

A couple of weeks from now and she will be alive with new growth! Such a lovely tree.

I love this old tree no matter what the weather is like.

Looks like perhaps you sent us some sunshine in exchange for our rain!

I feel for you. 3 degrees is much too cold. We're running between 85-90 degrees F most days. I do like hot weather, so it's no problem.

Great tree! I'll have to see what our similar tree looks like these days!
