I Love That Old Time Music

I Love That Old Time Music

Old Style Phonograph

This is Paula, she was standing in the sunshine reading a book near the commuter station in Handen yesterday afternoon when I came around the corner. The first thing I noticed was one of her tattoos, depicting an old style phonograph. I asked her about it and she told me she loved old-time music. She didn't feel like having her photo taken so I had to turn on the Steffe charm and luckily it worked! Paula is a university college student studying Economics,Science and Design at the Södertörn University in Huddinge. On her free time she enjoys drawing and painting. After I had taken a few quick portraits her ride arrived as we agreed that having ones photo taken really isn't that hard after all.

That's the way to approach people. However. I didn't know that gramophones sprouted little birds.

Good work, Steffe. The old Steffe charm works most times. She is a pretty young woman, but I am not a fan of tattoes.

You are a charmer and she's very pretty...too bad about the tattoos, though.

You do such a good job, not only with the portraits but with becoming friends with the subjects. It is a good talent to have.

I would find it amazing if you didn't get your picture :) This is nice. I like how she's not looking at the camera and the background compliments her style.

Good thing the charm worked. It is an amazing tattoo.

Great portrait. The tattoo is different to the kind you often see on women (round this way there's a lot of butterflies, hindi script, stars and so on).

Me neither Bob!

I have been turned down a few times this week Jack. I always feel a bit down when that happens.

Sure is unique Olivier.

It's very easy Irina. All you need to do is ask if you can take a portrait and ask a few questions so that you can tell a story with your photo. Oh, and give everyone a card with you web site and email address.

Thanks Jarart, if I dint do these portraits this blog would have closed a few years ago I think.

I have seen many tattoos like those you describe Geoff. Nice to see something a bit more original now and then.
