Ta-da!
My redhead radar detector system kicked into gear in Västerhaninge yesterday, and when I looked around I saw this woman walking towards me. So I stopped her for a chat and a portrait. This is Emelie. She lives in Västerhaninge and is studying to become a nursing assistant. As we started talking I realised that I had met her before, although very briefly, last summer at a rock festival. That time I had first asked her friend for a portrait, but had been turned down. A few hours later I saw them together and when I asked again they agreed to have their photo taken. Today Emelie told me that they were at that festival to watch the band Kill The Parish as Emilie's boyfriend Björn plays the guitar in that band. Despite her looks Emelie prefers to be behind the camera, but as you can see I managed to persuade her to strike a whimsical pose.

A very beautiful, spirited young lady! (Ditch that lip thingy, though!)
Re your comment on the Palmer Legends...all of the Golf Courses in The Villages are very busy -- this one is also very expensive! I think there are 15-20 major golf courses in The Villages and about 25-30 smaller courses. They are all booked all of the time! People from The Villages drive up to Ocala so they can play golf! Which is pretty funny 'cause The Villages sells their houses with the promise of free golf the rest of your life...not quite true!
As to Amelia...I don't have a clue...it's a very popular Southern name, though.
Able to make one feel that spring isn't far anymore.
Please have a good Friday.
daily athens
Her joi de vive is contagious.
She certainly looks as if winter isn't getting her down!
Wow. Love the color!
Think she would catch my redhead radar as well:)
I wish I had the courage!!! :)

Steffe, your redhead radar doesn't have to be all that sensitive to catch this young lady. I am so glad to see you outside and doing photo interviews again.
I know it is snow and that vibrant smile and red hair really brings in the Spring ...
Colorful young woman. I liked both the photos of her.
You are good at stopping people, and taking really nice portraits of them!!
I think this joyous hair color could jam any redhead detector, but the pose is very nice!
Thanks for the comment, good that your radar was working - my wife says you seem to have no shortage of attractive girls to pose for you. Like the band name too
I bet you could see here coming a mile away. Very nice photo.
Fantastic red. Specially in winter.
Man, if the cold weather get the juices flowing... this hair will. LOVE the red!
What a beautiful portrait. She looks like a real lively lady!
Nice portrait.
ha, that's great. Everyone must know you in your town!
Ha! Jag bodde i går´n bredvid ;D
Trevlig helg!
wow, that is really, really red hair.
i like the photo!
What a very cool portrait! The title says it all! :-)
Thanks all.
Each to his (or her), own Jacob.
It is a good Joie de vivre, I agree.
They are everywhere Peter! I have a photo of the band playing in my flickr stream.
It would have been great with an all white background Irina, unfortunately Emilie was in a hurry so I only had time for a few quick shots.
That's my plan Kitty!
Där ser man Tove, en av mina systrar bodde i den här kåken för många år sedan.
I wish they had that kind of hair color when I was much younger — I love it!
Now that is RED RED hair!
