The Steam Train
My former neighbour Marie, one of her daughters and a bunch of grandkids at the Tungelsta commuter station waiting to get aboard the steam train. The 1136 locomotive was built in 1912.
There's a steam train museum in Nynäshamn. A few times every year they arrange a ride between Stockholm and Nynäshamn.

A great photo! I'm thinking of Harry Potter when I look at this photo. :)
wow, haven't seen a steam train for a while, great post.
Wow - a picture from the past! Little did I know as a kid in Tuzla, Bosnia in the late '60s that this would be such a rare sight. Wonderful photo.
(just saw my comment comes after Jazzy's from Tuzla - small world).
we also have a steam train running once au year between Toulouse and Carcassonne (and back) on the 14th of July, to bring people to the famous fireworks of this mediaval city. Ir's amazing to hear its "tcho tcho tcho" through the country.
I agree, it is a great sound.
