The Investigative Reporter

The Investigative Reporter
There we were walking at a slow pace, (it was so hot!), along the picturesque Strandvägen in Nynäshamn when we were suddenly overtaken by a car from the Nynäshamns Posten. The car stopped up ahead so I walked over and knocked on the side window. Out came the newspapers investigative reporter Amanda, ready to ask us all sorts of questions, but I beat her to it. What's happening with the water tower turned observation tower at Trehörningen? Did it burn down, can it be saved, we need to know. I was in in town earlier this Summer, with the usual suspects, planning to visit the tower, but we couldn't find it! We blamed Hasse for that, since he used to work on the tiny islet where the old water tower stands, or did stand for a century. So we left town disappointed and when we arrived home news came that the tower had been destroyed in a fire! A bit suspicious I know, but it wasn't us! Sadly Amanda couldn't help us, they had a reporter on the case, but there was nothing to report just yet. After this Amanda started bombarding us with her questions. How do you like the Summer? Is it too warm? What do enjoy doing during the Summer? The questions just kept coming and when Hasse took over the answering I managed to slip away long enough to take a portrait of the reporter and this is that photo.

The Tennis Oracle

The Oracle
This is Björn Hellberg. A living oracle when it comes to tennis. He knows every fact of every game set and match ever played (more or less). He hasn't missed a Wimbledon tournament for nearly 50 years. He is a sport journalist, and also a well known author. He has written a biography about Björn Borg. These days he is also a very popular crime writer, and has written 25 novels. He was busy at a book signing when I spotted him in the mall in Handen today. But in general he is best known for a TV show called På Spåret. It is a very popular quiz show about geography. He competed four times and won every year. That was too much for the show so they made him a judge a job he had for some 20 years.

Tarantino's Favorite Actress

Tarantino's Favorite Actress

One of the first photos I took during the Haninge day celebrations at Lake Rudan on Saturday was this portrait. This is Christina Lindberg. She was working as a volunteer for The Green Party. Christina lives in Tungelsta and works as a journalist. I have met her a few times before. She is the owner and editor-in-chief for the aviation magazine Flygrevyn. But she is probably best known as a a model, and as an actress in many exploitation movies in the 1970s. Quentin Tarantino was a huge fan of Christina, and he based the character Elle Driver in his movie Kill Bill on a role Christina played in a film called Thriller: A Cruel Picture. I took many photos at the lakes and I will show you most of them in the coming days.

Journalist & Photographer

Magnus Kristenson

This is Magnus Kristenson. A journalist and photographer that works at Mosebacke Media, a freelance bureau in Stockholm. I saw his camera and asked if he was out taking autumn photos. That wasnt the case. He was in Västerhaninge on assignment. Looking to photograph among other things a cyclist for a magazine, Haninge Today that his company produces. Luckily I was able to help him with that and also answer a few questions. So maybe I will be in the next issue! Magnus who lives in Nacka enjoys sailing and travelling. His favorite part of the world when it comes to photography is Latin America. You can see some of his photos here.

This is my 88th photo for the 100 Strangers project. You can see the rest of my strangers in my Set
