The old Courthouse

Sotholms Härads Tingshus
This is Sotholms Härads Tingshus. Or at least that is what it was for many years. A courthouse in the then Hundred Sotholm. The building dates back to 1731. But the second floor which is what you see here is not that old, it was constructed in 1817. The building was in use as a courthouse up until 1916. Today you will find the local historical association Haninge Hembygdsgille here. I took the photo two days ago during the Christmas Market. I like the symmetry of the building.

I really like the symmetry as well, but also the lights inside.

I see what you mean about the symmetry. You've framed this shot with perfect balance.

The peek through the window is enticing.

Symmetrical is lyrical. Looks like it's been well taken care of.

The colour particularly appeals to me!

The red is so wonderfully rich . . .

(No action shots at the basketball fame. I was sitting too far away and only had a small compact camera with me. It wasn't capable of dealing with the speed of the action.)

Great shot! And it seems to have eyes!
