A Train in Winter

The Commuter
The cold weather has returned. Minus 5C yesterday. It was snowing a little and it was windy. Not my kind of weather at all. This is the commuter train closing in on the Västerhaninge station. Photographed from the pedestrian bridge at Nederstaleden. In the background you can see the new Krigslida bridge which is yet to open for traffic.

It is raining here, but it is about 14°C. I would like some snow, but it is usually a tragedy here when it comes...

Ah! minus 5* would find me sitting in a cosy safe sipping espresso and maybe in your corner of the world eating a semla.
A great winter capture Steffe with just a brush of blue at the front of the train.

Nice image, Steffe. I like the perspective and the wisps of steam. (It was 83 degrees Fahrenheit or 28 degrees Celsius in Florida today.)

Well done for even getting the camera out, photography in extreme temperatures presents hazards.

I was actually out on the bicycle. Met my friend Birdman a few minutes later. We talked for a bit and I shot a winter portrait of him. You can see it at flickr. A few degrees colder again this morning. -8, but with a blueish sky. 35C sounds nice.

Out here in the soggy but mild Pacific Northwest USA,
I get cold just looking at this pic.
