An old cottage

Pettersberg

In my work for the historical association I recently visited Pettersberg. The place was first mentioned in a book back in 1815. Today Pettersberg is used as a summerhouse and on my visit the family that lives here were busy preparing for a birthday party, but they still had time to give me a brief tour of the place. It's a lovely place off the beaten track. I had a quick look inside as well and it was a bit like stepping back in time.

A weed eater would work wonders on the grounds of this lovely little cottage.

I hope that you are able to show us some of the interior of the cottage. Most vacation places here are called "cabins" whereas in WI, where I'm from originally, we own cottages...love that word and what it represents! Incidentally, I hope that you can meet Leif Hagen and family during his trip abroad. Have a great Sunday.

Very interesting. I have read journals from my grandfather's brother who described the place where they were raised in Sweden...this is almost exactly as I had pictured it in my mind!

It may be old but it was well built then. You don't see many wood constructions around here, nothing so old anyway.
