The April Weather

Busy Bumblebee

Perhaps not the photo you were expecting to see after what I posted yesterday, but there you go. This is a busy bumblebee pollinating a crocus at Bergdalen in Tungelsta. And I actually shot this one the day before the winter chair photo. Another fine sign of Spring. We have a word for this type of quick changes in the weather. Aprilväder. Translated to English: April Weather. More scientifically it is spring when the average temperature rises above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. During the month of April you are likely to see this type of quick weather changes, but if you don't live here, I guess it can be a bit confusing with Spring one day, followed by Winter, and then back to Spring again. But it's interesting from a photographers view, that's for sure.

It looks as if he's wearing an orange vest. Great shot.

A slightlydifferent "portrait" than you usually post!

PS. I've been travelling the last couple days back to Mn. without frequent access to internet so I haven't commented very much. I have scheduled posts from Santa Fe which should appear daily for awhile.

Great macro picture, always nice to get bee at work inside a flower.
I have not seen one here in Yorkshire so far this year.

I was out chasing a bumblebee yesterday. If there were any good photos (still on the memory card), I will post a link here.
