A Concrete Handout
This little art object is made out of concrete. The hand that holds it belongs to the artist Marianne Kopamees who describes herself as an autodidact. I met her on Saturday in her studio at the gallery in Österhaninge. Marianne lives at Stora Lundby in Sorunda. We talked a bit about art and photography. Marianne's father and her uncle were both well known photographers. And how about this. Her closest neighbour in Stora Lundby is a windsurfer who enjoys photography. And if you have followed this blog for a while, you will know that I often try to find a connection between the people I meet. So if you would like to meet Marianne's neighbour, follow this link for a great photo encounter.

That's a great little piece of art.
Cool. I do remember that previous post too. It's fun running into other photographers when out and about isn't it?
magnifique, un travail d'orfèvre, il est tres beau ce masque
an object of real beauty. I like the hard worked hand that hold it too!
Unlike any concrete I've ever seen. Amazing work.
How pretty! I never would have guessed that it was concrete.
Fruitful engagement. Nice post.
Neat art!
Difficult to see concrete as a medium for creating art, but there it is, a really fine work.
Beauty in everything. Love the work
