What to do with all the snow

One of the problems this winter has been to find places to dump all the snow. It's illegal to dump the snow in the sea, so now it looks like the snow removal people are running out of good places. If I was in charge I would order out all the school kids and have them build igloos all over the place.

And snowpeople. Lots of snowpeople.

Good Grief, when IS it going to stop snowing? Have you seen the news about the recent snowfall in the US, mid-Atlantic area?

Did you go inside and buy some lingonsylt, frozen skottbullar, cheese and Princesstarta, Steffe? Wish you would have picked up a copy of "Svensk Damtiding" for me!

Pretty amazing. Washingtonians are actually wondering the same.

I like your idea very much. You get my vote.

That would be a very good idea. Or let them make sculptures and held a contest, like sandsculptures. You've got my approval as a schoolteacher!

OK, I give in. Why is it illegal to dump snow in the sea?

I would have thought that's the best place for it. It turns into... guess what? Sea!

I knew someone would ask that question Bill. There are many toxins in the snow, and the Baltic Sea already has serious environmental problems.

I think the igloo thing is a good idea, but I think some adult would apply...

Piled higher and higher...

If I was a school teacher I would heartily support your idea!

Gosh!!
So who will have to get rid of the snow. The shop owner or the council ??
(Our city, Stavanger, has already spent all the money and salt...that should have lasted for the rest of the year.)

A chain of Snow Cone shops, perhaps.

Very often, we have that much snow, but not this year. Here, we dump it into the river.

As for the igloo idea, bravo!

That's a great photo.

Oh my goodness, that's a lot of snow!

Yes sometimes we have that problem here, too, and the highway department warns children not to play in the mounds. They do anyway.
Thanks for the amusing photo!

Love your solution to the problem, Steffe. If I could, I'd pronounce you King For The Day, then wait for your photos of igloos.
