Please be Seated!
Walking through deep snow can be hard work. After a few kilometres you do start to feel tired, so it's good to know that there are places here and there where you can sit down and relax for a few minutes. Like this fine old chair. I spotted it yesterday at the old brewery in Tungelsta. All alone on the lawn, next to the swimming pool, that probably won't be used for a while. Oh and this photo made the first page at Utata today!

I love hiking in the snow. It provides a workout like no other. Looks like Winter has arrived, Steffe! Merry Christmas to you! Do you travel to family or do they descend on your home? Whatever your plans, ENJOY!!
Oh, no... maybe next time? ;-)
Snow-capped chair? Maybe they could do with some, on the higher reaches of Alps, Everest or wherever climbers go.
I think this chair is already occupied. If this is next to a swimming pool, I hope no one walks across the top of the swimming pool
Your photo makes me want to go and play out in the snow but I need to get going off to my office instead! Our nearby outdoor skating rink is open - can't wait!
God Jul och Godt Nytt Ar!
This is an absolutely wonderful image!
Yup, you're right! Neither the pool nor the chair will be used far awhile. Love the way the decoration on the chair peeks through the mound of snow.
Steffe, I have to say, this looks very scary to me.
Just think that here in Paris people were complaining because of only 3 centimeters of snow !
Be seated, but first try to reach it. Smiling photo.
It makes me cold just looking at this photo!
I've been catching up your blog and I must say I'm impressed by the snow pics! TV allways shows us the winter through Europe and the images are scary! Gladly we're having 10ºC more than yesterday. I hope it will remain like this! Lol!
That's a fantastic shot.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
Cool shot! I have never walked through snow; didn't think of it being hard work - of course it would be!
How fabulous. SO much snow. Perfect virgin snow. Congratulations on the photo being used and so poetically explained on the link, Steffe.
Really a first page photo, even in Sweden I think. It's hard to imagine everyday life with this kind of snow, but probably it becomes routine after a while. Great image, wonderful snow (in picture).
THanks all. I celebrate at home with my family. And I will try to enjoy it Allison.
OK, Fio. God Jul till dig också Leif.
That little decoration looks great I think. Three centimetres of snow is not much to brag about :-)
It's a good work out Gordon.
I hope you are right Mr. Poet as I have sent the photo to the big morning paper. If they publish it I will let you know.
