Sit down and read a book why don't you

Sit down and read a book why don't you
Fun initiative from a librarian in Västerhaninge. Two boxes filled with books for both kids and adults sits on the doorstep to the library with a note saying, help yourself to a book, sit down here and relax and read for a while in the Summer heat.

Available Seating

Three Seats

Stairs

Seriously bad weather the last few days. Cold, grey, windy and rainy. Not really the best weather for photography if you ask me. On one of those grey days I found this scene near the commuter station in Handen. Three empty seats and an ashtray. When the smokers sit there and slowly kill themselves I imagine that they comment on the people that pass them by going up and down the stairs. At least that is what I would do as People Watching is one of my hobbies.

Winter Chair Revisited

Winter Chair

A couple of weeks ago, after a heavy snowfall, I took a photo of a chair in the snow at a property in Tungelsta. Not that much has changed since, but you do see a little more of the chair now. I wonder if I will be back in another fortnight?

Please be Seated!

Winter Chair

Walking through deep snow can be hard work. After a few kilometres you do start to feel tired, so it's good to know that there are places here and there where you can sit down and relax for a few minutes. Like this fine old chair. I spotted it yesterday at the old brewery in Tungelsta. All alone on the lawn, next to the swimming pool, that probably won't be used for a while. Oh and this photo made the first page at Utata today!
