Autumn in the Park

Autumn In The Park

The color of autumn

When I woke up on Monday and looked out the window all the leaves were gone from the trees. Which means that the colorful part of autumn is over for this year. This was the scene in the big green park in Handen a couple of days ago. The park has two names. Eskilsparken and Olof Palmes Park. It features an amphitheatre and some artworks around a fountain. During the warm part of the year there's always a lot of people around picnicking on the grass, but on this occasion I was the only one there. It was in this park that I met the young lovers in mid-September. And it was here that I met the Bella Donna. Not forgetting the three photo students that you all seem do have missed.

Wonderful Autumn color photos, Steffe! Our leaves are all off the trees also now since Friday. People have been working all weekend of their "leaves removal."

The same is happening around here Steffe. Many of the leaves have fallen this past week. The rain and wind took most of them. As beautiful as autumn is, it sure goes by fast. Thanks for showing us yours, and taking us back to a few old posts.

We call this 't'aint season' in Vermont. Because t'aint autumn and t'aint winter. Pretty soon we'll be showing off our snow.

I am envious of your variety of colors, our Autumn here is plain yellow. I remember the pretty Bella Donna and I forgot to say that this is also the name of a poisonous plant, a fact source of many jokes in Italian.

Strange season. Feels like being the only one wherever one goes. Except possibly in crowded shopping malls.

But you do know that it's best for the lawn to leave the leaves?

Glad you like my autumn photos Don and Krise and Lois.

Never heard that before brattcat!

It has the same name here Mr. Poet.

You should never visit places like that Per.
