Summer Path
After what feels like two weeks of non-stop raining, we finally had a blue sky yesterday. So I decided to head over to Välsta for another visit to the old tree that really should look familiar to you by now! As I closed in on the Swedish Whitebeam I recognised the man and the dog that were approaching the tree from the other direction. It was The Bird Man. Since meeting him for the first time last year, we seem to run into each other once a month or so. And on this occation he was able to help me out. I had some bike problems here a while back, and has had one of my bikes parked here, hidden behind a tree, and as Jocke had his car nearby he offered to put my bike on his bike rack. In the end we managed to get all three bikes on the rack and we took the car back to Tungelsta.

This is a wonderful image even without the story. The story makes the experience of the image that much richer.
Interesting that you posted 'the tree' today. I was just thinking that you haven't done that for a while: )
I knew I knew that tree! What neat story about a nice guy!
une belle photo, avec une magnifique composition.
a nice photograph, with a splendid composition.
Oh this is really a lovely and fantastic post !! I really loved the Photograph !! This is so beautiful..Thanks for sharing..Great
I begin to appreciate this majestic tree beyond your beautiful images and the different stories revolving around this spot of land.
Always good to see the tree — always in a new light.
Life is made of such meeting.
Thanks
Accommodating friends are neat. I enjoyed this walk down memory lane (as we say) and seeing the old tree and meeting up with the bird man and his dog. What a nice day it must have been.
I love that tree! I'm looking forward to the next photo and story!
Old age doesn't always bring dignity but in the case of this tree it really has. Yet another elegant composition. Very summery. We need this now.
Stunning picture! This is very well composed.
When are you going to put together a "coffee table" book of your tree and your strangers? I think it would be a best seller. The old tree is becoming an old friend.
I have started making a few books, one with the tree in different seasons, weather situations, with people, horses and more. I now have 182 photos of the tree! But for whatever reason I have stalled! Hopefully I will finish a book some day and you will be able to buy it for your coffee table. As for the strangers that would be even better book I think, not sure if I need a release form from the people I have met, if not, I could start tomorrow.
Wonderful composition!
