Gastropods

Gastropods
Out walking in nature. The plan was to take a photo of a house where there once lived a famous woman. She also lived at a nearby castle, which I had photographed 15 minutes earlier. But before I could my planned, photo, I snapped this of the two gastropods making out. We call them Vinbergssnäckor. The French eat them, I am yet to try that.

That is a very beautiful picture on the snails. Yes, I do love to eat them. They are the natural vehicles of garlic

Sort of a macro, taken with the 70-300mm lens.

Awesome shot of the snails. I've never ate one before and don't know if I could.

Amazing to see that...the snails in my garden have disappeared with the hot drought of several years. Some years ago I did gather some with the intention of eating them, but as they had to remain captured for a week to "clean" their insides, I threw them out of the bucket in pity after the first night of captivity. I will still eat snails happily from the can because if you put enough butter and garlic and parsley on almost anything, it is delicious. All snails in the USA are from a can in even the fancy restaurants.....
there are no snail farms here as in France.
