No Sign of The Big Bad Wolf

No Sign of The Big Bad Wolf
There's been a lot of press coverage this Summer of a, (Norwegian), wolf that has been seen in this area. And even a Facebook group for the sightings. As you can probably guess some people have gone ballistic. Politicians in both Haninge and Tyresö have asked to have the animal put down. Concerned parents that have seen the wolf in their garden were afraid that the wolf would eat their little ones. It feels like there's a new wolf story every day. What we do know for a fact is that the wolf killed a sheep in this pasture a while back. This is in the Tyresta national park and they asked for money to set up a better fence two years ago, but as no one had ever seen a wolf here back then, they were refused that funding. Chances are that they will get that money now. No sign of the wolf during my stakeout at the pasture earlier yesterday.

Idyllic scene. Every once in awhile a wolf will go for a sheep, but for the most part, they've suffered from centuries of a bad reputation. I find them to be incredible animals.

Wolves tend to eat sheep; that's part of their DNA. But then this is a Norwegian wolf so who knows that it will do. Quick, run and hide. I can't believe you actually staked out the place in your search for a wolf. If you'd gotten closer to the sheep you might have had a better chance to get a photo of the wolf. Perhaps it might be best if those people looking for a Norwegian wolf head over to Norway? Heh, heh. Here we have alligator scares. Some poor gator eats a small dog and people go ballistic and call in teams of alligator hunters and then when they find the gator they kill it ("put it down"). Is this a great world we live in or what? :)

It looks a bit like a fairytale setting Steffe, a wolf is part of the story, right :)
