The Bicycle Fanatic

The Bicycle Fanatic
I have met a real bicycle fanatic. Robert from Sköndal. I knew I had to take a bike portrait when I noticed the wheels. Custom made in Gothenburg by Anders from Veloform. They are very photogenic and I'm not the only one who have asked to take a photo of the wheels. Robban bikes year around. To and from work for the last fifteen years. During the winter he just changes to winter wheels. Guess what he does on his vacations? Correct. This year he will discover Crete by bicycle. Previous trips have gone to Spain and Scotland where Glentress is a favorite. His son is old enough to join him now, so it is possible that the whole family will be biking together soon. My kind of people! Shot using the brenizer method at f1.8. This is 22 photos stitched together.

Cool tires. I don't if I would go so far as biking in the winter.

That is pretty impressive, as are his tires. Winter biking in Sweden? I'll pass.

Great photo! Such a serious expression for someone so colorful!

Great looking tires on his bicycle. He sounds a little overly fanatic about biking. It must be quite cold biking in the winter.

What impresses me most is that his bike appears to have neither brakes nor gear changers. Is it a velo-drome bike? In any case, it is a fabulous portrait !

I love those wheels! And the photo is perfect for a bike fanatic. I wouldn't mind having wheels like that on my bike.

22 photos?! how long does it take you..?
the tires are so cool!!
i dont like biking in snow but i dont see the problem with biking in the cold... the biking will warm you up! right?

The shooting will take about a minute or so. The stitching takes a bit longer. It all depends on whether you shoot in RAW or small JPG.

If he is like this, I imagine he was quite impatient to go through your 22 shots... Great portrait of an almost incredible guy!
