In the Spider's Web
I was out walking in the birch forest at Välsta earlier this week. It is a nice place for a stroll. No one around but me and this spider.

A scary looking spider! I do love the way the web comes in and out of the image as the light catches it.
It is a good thing that this spider does not have a red hourglass pattern that reveals that it would be a black widow.
I would really like to take a picture like this one... Bravo!
Fabulous macro Steffe, as long as they make their homes out in the bush I have no problems with spiders, but the minute they invade my territory ..splat! they're history!! We have some really ughy ones here in Australia so don't hate me haha!
Wow, Nice macro. How big is the spider? Looks huge.
Beautiful details in this picture, it becomes even more detailed when there is frost so better opportunities in a few months time.
Greetings,
Filip
It is most likely a European Garden Spider. The female can get to around 20mm long.
I'm with Gracie (PerthDailyPhoto) on this one.
Men åh vad fin! Vilken bild!
