The Selma Look

The Selma Look

Looks like famous author Ivar Lo-Johansson is trying the 1928 Selma Lagerlöf look and gets away with it I think. The third look at this sculpture this winter. I'm using it in the same way I did the winter chair two years ago.

This is quite apropos. I mean, if you're gonna live in Sweden, you need a hat and shawl in the winter time. Otherwise you might get snow all over you!

The shawl and beret suits him, perhaps it could be a permanent addition?

I immediately thought of the American actress from the 50s, Susan Hayward. In my mind's eye, I can see an image of her with a fox-head stole and wrap-around turban. I have looked but cannot find an image of her online.

I love this idea of following your statue, Steffe. You are the most 'creative' of the CDPB when it comes to sourcing photographic series.

Throw a few flecks of soot on it and he has an ermine cap and shawl.

It looks like he is wearing a fur shrug and chapeau! Very funny! But probably not very warm ;-)
