All done by the guy in the background, who works for the municipality. The firewood will now be stacked in a building here at Lake Rudan in Handen. Today this is a recreational area, but a century ago there was a farm and laundry business here, and some of the old buildings are still standing, like the red cottage in the background. this stack will warm a lot of fingers and toes through the winter.
That's a big stack of wood! We used to heat our house exclusively with wood, but now we're heating with gas and I never want to go back. There are only two fires that I like in the house - the first one of the season and the last one before spring cleaning.
That was a lot of work to make that much firewood for winter! Oj da!
