The days are very short now. And the sky has been grey for a few weeks. But we did actually have a few hours of a blueish sky yesterday, so hurrah for that. I took this photo at four in the afternoon a couple of day ago. This really isn't my favorite time of the year.

Powerful sky color. The sky may be red, but shorter days make me blue.
This is a spectacular sky, but I would certainly prefer it at 6:00 rather than 4:00. The one time we were in Sweden it was in June, and it stayed light until abotu 11:00 pm.

unlike you this time of year is my favorite time of year - the colors and light - nothing like it! of course we aren't as far north as you and thus do not have the prolonged period of dark days as you guys....but you will find beauty regardless of the season or available light!!
