The 4th Naval Warfare Flotilla

HMS Sundsvall

Combat Boat 90

Amfibieskyttekompaniet

Here are a few photos from my visit to the Haninge garrison yesterday. Top photo shows HMS Sundsvall. It is a corvette based at Berga. It belongs to Fjärde sjöstridsflottiljen. The ship took part in an UN operation after the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah.
On the second photo you can see one of three Combat Boat 90 that took part in a show yesterday. The boat is a fast military assault craft and has been sold to many navies around the world.
Third picture shows two vessels from the Swedish Amphibious Corps. They are rebuilt Combat Boat 90 ships that today serves as medical treatment ships. More military stuff to come.

That top shot really pops with those bits of red. This is excellent work, Steffe.

That first photo is fantastic with all that gray, then the bits of orange.

Brilliant - with the second shot I can hear the theme to 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' playing.

I'm not fond of anything military, but these do look fantastic!

Having served in the U.S. Navy, I find these photos of particular interest! Nice shots, especially that first one!

Re your comment about FAUX News. I agree. In fact, after those two folks left, I tried to change the channel and it shut the TV down completely. Evidently, they have it locked to FAUX News. The office staff was less than happy with me.

Thanks all. It was my first ever visit to the garrison. Very interesting. Unfortunately there was a few things off limit. As you know the Crown princess will get married in Stockholm this weekend, and for that some of the soldiers from the Haninge garrison have been practising rowing the Royal Barge, I was hoping to meet them and shoot some snaps but that didn't happen.
