A lucky escape

Garden Zombie

The Devil in your Garden

Crocodile

You need to be careful these days. Dangerous creatures are everywhere. Out walking on a very warm day I was suddenly in a garden and before I knew it I was surrounded by gargoyles and dragons. I nearly stepped on a crocodile that was lurking in the water. On the walls there was many evil figurines looking down on me. In a tub one of the grotesque figures were spitting at me. They say that the devil comes in many forms, and after my visit to this scary garden I will have to agree with that. I managed to escape unharmed into a glasshouse where I was able to get some coffee and relax my nerves. But then as I was trying to escape all the monsters, I took a wrong turn and suddenly a zombie was slowly creeping my way. I froze, but managed to pull myself together, lifted the camera and took a few snaps before I started running for my life. I have no idea how I escaped, and as my memory from the ordeal is vague, these photos are my only proof of what happened.

Artistic and nice!

I like the composition and the "close up" way you take/make your photographs.

This is to me more "English" than scandinavian style, but perhaps I have not used my eyes well enough when visiting gardens and parks that I have been to?

I'm glad you escaped so we won't miss any more of your portraits. I think the first photograph is the scariest.

Steffe, this is the most nightmarish garden I have ever seen and heard of! I'm likely to get a heart attack there.

I've always thought you were brave but after this...And to come away from such an ordeal with these fabulous images...all I can say is, move over Stephen King.

Yes, I can understand why you would want to forget these fearsome creatures. Crocodiles in Sweden? Hmm...

Too funny! The image in the portal is compelling as are the subsequent ones. Glad you escaped, Steffe. Can't have you eaten by a crocodile...

Nice shots of some clever ideas.

Now, you and your friends can help me Make History. I am trying to see if it is possible to get 10,000 visitors in a short period of time on my new blog, Pick a Peck of Pixels. If you go there, please either become a ollower or leave a comment. Your visit will count and help me Make History. Pick a Peck of Pixels

Those pictures are quite scary! I would stay away from that garden in the future if I were you. Great pictures though!

While not even close to being any of my choices for a garden theme, I do have to say that the various statues are quite well done!!

Loved your description - truly a surreal experience .....
