Volvo De Luxe
Spotted this 1973 Volvo 142 driving down Sleipnervägen yesterday. So I chased after it. The car is in mint condition. Not a scratch. Looks new. The owner never drives it during the Winter. He bought the car when it was brand new 44 years ago. A clever man. And proud of his car.

It is certainly well looked after.
I think the key to keeping a car in mint condition is to keep it garaged and not drive it during the winter. I had a 1958 Volvo (looked like a '46 Ford) and that gave me a lot of trouble. Then I bought a 1960 Volvo but I lived in Phoenix and it always ran too hot. So I gave up on Volvos. I think they got better as the years went on.
What a beauty. He has a right to be proud.
So cool that this guy has had this car all these years, since it was brand new!
Volvos like this used to be the favorite car of "soccer moms" in New England. I think Saabs have taken over that role these days.
Nice one.
