The Dragon Gate
This is the new and very impressive wrought iron gate at the Handen Museum. You have seen photos from the museum a few times before. It is owned and operated by Agnes & Martin, who have a Viking festival here once a year. Martin, who works as a Blacksmith have now created this fantastic work of art, that shows a Dragon fighting with a Viking warrior. I believe that David, the apprentice from yesterdays post have helped out a bit.

These are really beautiful!
Fantastic! We have a lot of dragons in Barcelona, the early 20th century modernists (the local equivalent to the french art nouveau) were quite taken with the beasties. And there is a dragon in my post for today. No vikings though.
Now that's what I call a gate. Amazing skill exemplified here. Dragons have always been scary creatures, I guess, even though no one has ever seen one. It's a good thing the Vikings were around to take care of them.
An amazing gate. Made of iron and needing lots of maintenance paint to prevent it turning to rust. Nice photo. Like the angles.
Very nice piece of work!
This gate is wonderful! I love the details- especially the dragon!
Cool gate. I haven't found something like that here, anyway. ;)
Spot on Lowell!
Not only is the gate impressive... so is your photography.
Very impressive; there is so much detail. The blacksmiths are very creative and skillful.
Beautiful!
Now that's an amazing gate, the smith is a great craftsman.
