What a Difference a Year Makes
This is how the old tree at Välsta looks today, (or yesterday on the 15th of December to be more precise). No sign of winter at all. I shot the second photo precisely one year earlier. By this time last winter I had already shot four snowy photos of the old tree. I think it's safe to say that we will have a green Christmas this year.

here, too.
These seasons shots are treemendous!
Really they are great.
The exact same weather here in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. Last year at this time the lakes and ponds were frozen. This year we are still having rainy days.
Love this tree, in any season.
i like the snowy shot , snow will come soon :)
Steffe, I seem to have posted a very similar post to yours today.
We have here the same situation, but not such a beautiful tree.
It's hard to believe that we've had snow in northern Arizona and you haven't had any snow yet. Of course I love that old tree in any type of weather.
Don't speak too soon Steffe! It is amazing though that the weather can be so completely different at exactly the same time! Strange things are happening!!
Crazy weather! Beautiful tree!
I always like seeing how your old tree is doing. The weather has been crazy all over the globe this year.
An incredible difference. I do look forward to the old tree every year.
Same for us in Toronto! Glad the tree is well.
Lots of drama in the tension between the cheerful land and sky against the bare, grim tree.
Thanks all. It did actually snow this morning, but it was gone in one hour as it is still much warmer than usual.
We had a few hours of snow yesterday, but none settled. I looked up the weather forecast for over Christmas and it looks as if we shall be really quite warm for the time of year.
Same here...
same here! but i dont mind it that much... although i do look forward to the snow, just not right now
