Yellow and Venomous

Yellowjacket

I was enjoying coffee in the sunshine on the veranda yesterday when this yellowjacket flew in and landed on the railing. They sure are photogenic when you zoom in a bit. We call them Getingar.

Check out my Yellow Set for the Utata Color Project. I took all six photos at the Raggare meet back in August.

It's quite fascinating to see a close-up of an annoying creature you would otherwise swat away from you.

Wow! You really caught every detail. Great macro. They are rather attractive so close up.

This guy has lots of interesting features that you don't get to see when it's flying about. But, I don't think I want to get to know him better. :-)
Loved your Yellow Set.

It's been raining a lot over the last week, so I guess he found a nice place to cool down.
