The Ballet Dancer

The Ballet Dancer

I noticed Rebecca near a kiosk in Jordbro. I told her that I liked her look and asked her for a portrait. She works as an engineer at Hillstatik in Stockholm. Her big hobby is dancing. She enjoys both ballet and pole dancing, not a bad combination I think. Not sure where she goes for her ballet classes, but she does the pole dancing at North Pole Studio in Stockholm.

It is a nice portrait, but she is wearing an odd top. It seems see-through. Not that I mind, of course . . .

She looks amused, also great name for a pole dancing studio.

Love the colour of her hair Steffe, she must be pretty fit, pole dancing is not that easy. Great portrait, like the little smile on her face.

Rebecca was wearing a long black dress, I took a photo in the portrait mode, but after looking at my photos of her I decided to go with this one. One reason for that is that I'm taking part in a summer project in UTATA. You are supposed to pick a color and then go out and take six photos with that color in mind. I have decided to take six portraits of people with beautiful RED hair and Rebecca is the first in that series. Pole dancing is a great way to stay fit, I have another portrait of a pole dancer. The Bombshell.

An interesting person - engineer and dancer...right-brain, left-brain. I have a hard time using a knife and fork at the same time.

Ballet dancing and pole dancing also seem incongruous. Here pole dancing is done in strip clubs. Not that I've ever had any personal experience in such but I've been told about it...
