You Can't Park Here

You Can't Park Here

No Dead Guy Here

This Saab has been parked on the road at Allévägen for nearly two weeks now. I informed the municipality a few days ago when I emailed them the top photo which I took earlier this week. I suggested that they really should move it as it blocks traffic, and that the snow plougher has to drive around it. Also, two cars can't meet here now, and there's the risk for an accident, when I walked past it the other day the car behind me had to wait. The municipality replied three times that same day. Which was nice. Three days later this was the result. Police have used an ice scraper to see if there were some dead guy in the front seat! When that result was negative they decided to leave the car as they found it.

Alway best to check, with the amount of snow that you have had recently. We have had trains stranded here in England, with people stuck on them all night.

It looks a lot like winter to me. Nice pictures.

Ha ha...obviously local authorities are the same the world over! The lattice of trees in the image is just great.

Well, though you have my sympathies, I've got to say I'm relieved there wasn't a dead guy.

Maybe the dead guy is just a little bit further down the side.

Anyone driving a snow plow must get angry when someone leaves his car in the street! Looks like a nice place to go for a winter walk if there isn't too much traffic!

I am loving your snow pictures! It looks so pretty there.
We get a lot of abandoned cars here too when it snows.

In the 1980s in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 28 miles from my town, there was a huge snowstorm one December or January. In March, the snow thawed and they found a missing dead woman in a car. They theorized that she'd had a heart attack, then been buried by the snow plows (maybe they were just trying to make us feel better by saying she died first). Since then, they always plow the snow to the center of the road (which is annoying as heck).

I also read a story where seven people had been locked up in a pub for a week somewhere in Yorkshire.

That is a horrible story Jude.

And now the car has been vandalised. So I took another photo and you can see it on flickr. It will be interesting to see what will happen next.
